The Vitamix Blender is a great product with a loyal following. It also comes with a hefty price tag, which may fall outside of your budget.
What are your options if you want a Vitamix, but don’t want to pay full price for one?
- Buy Refurbished- You can find refurbished Vitamix Blenders at a discount on the Vitamix website, and at Amazon. What is a refurbished product? A refurbished product is a product that was previously returned to a manufacturer or vendor for various reasons and then repaired from manufacturer and resold at a reduced price.
- Check out Tag/Yard Sales-I have known people that have found new or gently used Vitamix Blenders for under $100 at local tag/yard sales! If time is on your side, (meaning that you have a blender that currently works)then this may be a great option for you.
- Check out your local Thrift Shops– Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers, and other small local thrift shops, can be a treasure trove where you can find almost anything! You would be amazed at the gadgets that people drop off that they purchased on a whim and never used.
By now, after reading about the tips on how to get a Vitamix without paying a fortune, you might think that I personally own a Vitamix.
I actually do not own a Vitamix! I own a Ninja Blender! Surprise! 🙂 All those tips that I gave you about how to spend less money on a Vitamix, are things that I would have done if I hadn’t been in dire of need of a new blender STAT after my old Oster blender died. While I would use my Nutribullet quite a bit as a supplement to my old Oster blender, it couldn’t be used for all of the recipes that I was making. A high speed blender was needed, but without the high cost.
I told my husband that I wanted a Vitamix, and after viewing the price of the Vitamix online, he showed me links to my current Ninja blender on Amazon, lol.
My husband was the reason why I got the Ninja, but I am EXTREMELY happy with the Ninja! I’ll give you some reasons why it is a great alternative to the Vitamix.
The Ninja blender is an affordable, quality, high speed blender that you can buy right now without breaking the bank. It has minimal parts and is dishwasher safe. In some recipes that call for the use of a food processor (like some black bean burger recipe’s, for example) I was able to use my Ninja! The Ninja blender is also durable. It has been a true workhorse in my plant-based kitchen. If you are in need of an affordable, high speed blender, I encourage you to check out the Ninja, you won’t be disappointed!
