Like with anything in life, there is always more to learn about a subject and that is the purpose of this post. Most of us know that when you receive a bouquet of flowers, you need to cut off the bottom of the stems before placing them in a vase with water. However, a couple of months ago I received a pro-tip from a local florist with regard to making the Hydrangeas in my arrangement last longer. She said to fill up a sink of water just enough to cover the stems of the flowers and then cut the stems while they are submerged under the water. I took her advice, and I’d wager that I was able to enjoy my flowers for at least 3 or 4 additional days. If you are like me, and you buy flowers for your home on a regular basis, that really makes a difference. I hope you found this pro-tip helpful!
